Vulnerability in a Virtual World
This workshop is an in-depth analysis into anxiety and self-confidence issues brought on by interpreting situations. The day will be comprised of virtual interactive activities in both small and large group facilitated discussion. Participants, , will build trust with a series of simple and self-reflective activities. They will discuss the topic of Trust and Pride and create a group participatory description of the words. Small group activities lead into an independent study where the participant must find his/her/their comfort zone with discussing a difficult fear. By sharing the fears with others, the now cohesive group bonds to formulate confidence-building techniques for each other.
Additionally, given the current social climate, participants will discuss in small groups the meaning and significance of diversity surrounding “ISMs”. For example: Sexism, Racism, Audism, Ageism, Heterosexism, religious prejudice and other forms of oppression that have damaged people.
