Interpreters often face barriers when their interpretation must include concepts that are related to ASL syntax constructs. Such elements will be discussed and explained, and participants will have time allotted for application of the information and skills taught during this training. Language drills and hands-on activities for the participants will focus on ASL structure with emphasis on SVO/OSV, Topic Comment, Pronoun/Indexing, Time Sequenced Ordering, Use of space and Temporal Aspect of Verb Inflections.
